Attention to our esteemed students who will do their compulsory internship in the Summer Term of 2024-2025 Academic Year!

Internship applications will be made through the online student portal (https://auportal.bakircay.edu.tr) of our University. You can log in to the portal with your corporate account information with the extension öğrencinumarası@bakircay.edu.tr. You can access the forms that need to be uploaded to the application system below. You can access information about the use of the system from the Internship Application Training.

Internship Application Dates: 21 February 2025 - 20 June 2025

Internship Dates:  16 June 2025 -14 September 2025

When determining your internship dates, pay attention to the dates that will affect the number of internship working days such as public holidays etc.

COMPULSORY INTERNSHIP PROCESS

Psychology Department students are expected to do their compulsory internship for at least 20 (twenty) consecutive working days in the summer term at the end of the 6th semester according to the curriculum. The aim of this internship course, which is carried out under the name of PSİ499 Internship, is to reinforce the theoretical knowledge and experience gained by the students during their education period, to improve their skills and experience gained in laboratory and workshop practices, to enable them to get to know their responsibilities, relationships, organisation, production process and new technologies in the workplaces where they will do internship.

Students who will do internship;

(1) Not having any failed courses from the first four semesters of psychology undergraduate education,

(2) Participation in the Internship Training in the sixth semester of the Psychology undergraduate education (you can access the internship application training below),

(3) To have received OHS training suitable for the workplace where they will do their internship (Click here to access the OHS Information Form).

(4) Students are required to take PSİ499 Internship course in the seventh semester of Psychology undergraduate education.

Documents to be uploaded to the application system for students who will do internship within the scope of the National Internship Programme (USP)

All forms must be filled out (and signed) on the computer and uploaded to the system in order.

Ethical Approval Form (Annex 2) 

A current dated transcript document that can be used in official transactions (students who have courses that they have not taken / failed / taken for promotion from the first four semesters will apply with a transcript showing that they have successfully completed the relevant course(s) as a result of the final exams).

A valid OHS certificate

Certificate of eligibility (It is required for your insurance entry. You can obtain it through E-Government Health Provision Activation System (SPAS).)

Note: If the institution where the internship will be done requests a document stating that the student insurance is covered by our university, our students who determine the internship place with USP can also fill out the Internship Petition Form (Appendix-3) and submit it to the institution where they will do their internship by obtaining approval from our Department Internship Commission. Students whose institution does not request such a form do not need to fill it.

Note 2: The Internship Agreement will only be filled in if requested by the organisation.

Other Issues to be Considered During the Internship

1. Not to carry out tasks requiring expertise during the internship (interviewing, test application, etc.)

2. During the internship process, the institution and the individuals in the institution should not be photographed and no photographs should be included in the internship report. Materials used during the internship process (applied tests, forms, etc.) can be included with the permission of the authorised institutional supervisor.

3. If a student is found to have plagiarised in his/her internship report, the student will be evaluated as unsuccessful in PSİ499-Internship course.

4. Unethical behaviours should be avoided during the internship.

5. In all internship procedures, the internship calendars announced must be followed.

6. If the internship start and end dates are changed or cancelled, the relevant Faculty Secretary must be notified at least (5) working days in advance. Otherwise, criminal liabilities arising in accordance with Law No. 5510 will be accepted.

7. Report, rest, etc. received during the internship period. The documents must be notified to the Faculty Secretariat within 3 (three) days. Otherwise, penal obligations arising in accordance with Law No. 5510 will be accepted.
